3.  No blouses tighter than a t-shirt
4.  No leggings, not being used as just that - leggings (they go under something - they do not stand alone).

So that's it.  Get your sexy on without displaying sex!

Can you do it?

Lift Every Voice and Sing

IN HONOR OF BLACK HISTORY MONTH

Lift every voice and sing,
'Til earth and heaven ring,
Ring with the harmonies of Liberty;
Let our rejoicing rise
High as the listening skies,
Let it resound loud as the rolling sea.
Sing a song full of the faith that the dark past has taught us,
Sing a song full of the hope that the present has brought us;
Facing the rising sun of our new day begun,
Let us march on 'til victory is won.

Stony the road we trod,
Bitter the chast'ning rod,
Felt in the days when hope unborn had died;
Yet with a steady beat,
Have not our weary feet
Come to the place for which our fathers sighed?
We have come over a way that with tears has been watered,
We have come, treading our path through the blood of the slaughtered,
Out from the gloomy past,
'Til now we stand at last
Where the white gleam of our bright star is cast.

God of our weary years,
God of our silent tears,
Thou who has brought us thus far on the way;
Thou who has by Thy might
Led us into the light,
Keep us forever in the path, we pray.
Lest our feet stray from the places, our God, where we met Thee,
Lest, our hearts drunk with the wine of the world, we forget Thee;
Shadowed beneath Thy hand,
May we forever stand,
True to our God,
True to our native land.

In the beginning God made man

In the beginning of the bible, it states that God made man - and out of man he made woman.

I believe God made a man to be loving and caring and kind and considerate.  A man is an easy thing to love.

But, today's blog is about men who are not being the above stated things.

I'm not here to diss men - but rather speak on the men who are not being the things that God intended them to be.

A man not being a man, is like a rose, not being a rose.
A man not being a man, is like the sun, not being the sun.
A man not being a man, is like 'love' not understanding how it works.  Love brings growth - hate brings death.

Of course things in the world have protective devises:

A rose has thorns, to protect itself.
The sun can burn you, to protect itself.
At times love must be blind, to protect itself.

But a rose does not set out to intentionally prick you.  The sun does not set out to intentionally burn you.  Love does not set out to intentionally make you look stupid.

Hurt happens when you aren't being careful.  When you get pricked, you don't kill the rose.  When you get burned, you don't shoot the sun.  Therefore, when you get hurt by love you don't kill the messenger.

The topics of my blog today deal with men (who are not being loving, caring, kind and considerate - what God intended them to be).  But rather, they are men who want to kill the messenger.  My topics today deal with Domestic Violence.

Domestic Violence must stop!  Please help me spread the word.

Movie Review - Neflix

The Stoning of Soraya M.

For some strange reason this movie attracted my attention.  I clicked on it from our Wii game console and just like that it was streamlined from Netflix and onto my television screen.

Talk about domestic violence, Soraya M's story is an example of domestic violence at its highest.

Soraya M. is another strong woman that endured hurt, pain, then death, from a man that said he loved her - her husband.

According to the story, her husband wanted a younger wife.  He wanted a divorce so that he could go and have this younger wife - okay fine - go have her, but also stay committed to your vows.  Take care of what you already have.

This "MAN" told his wife that the other woman had more money than she did and that was one of the reasons why he wanted a divorce.

Needless to say, his wife did not want the divorce, but knowing that she would eventually have to get one, she took a job and began making her own money.  When her husband saw things, he became jealous, set her up by saying that she was committing adultery and in their town, the conviction for adultery is being stoned to death.

The producer and director of this movie made sure you could truly understand what stoning to death meant...I cried.

I will not let Soraya M. die in vain.  I will tell anyone and everyone about what happened to her.  In my opinion, she died because of a selfish man & money!

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE must stop!

Domestic Violence.

Happy Birthday
Tanya Hill-McCall

Today is the birthday of my cousin, Tanya, who was killed by her husband - she would have been 44 years old today.

Why did her husband take her life - Was it for the love of money?  I don't know, but it is something that is going on in our world today - Domestic Violence.

What causes domestic violence - Selfishness?  I don't know, but our world definitley needs to put a stop to it!

I know the bible says love your wife as you love yourself - if you hurt your wife does that mean you unconsciously want to hurt yourself?

I know domestic violence goes both ways,
but today I am not talking about women who hurt men,
we can save that for another day.
Today, I am talking about the growing number of men
who continue to hurt and kill women.

I don't have an answer.

I do know that I miss my cousin and I don't understand why she had to die.

So that it's not in vain, I dedicate this day (February 20th) of my blog to her.
I love you Tanya.

Please help put a stop to Domestic Violence.

If you have some thoughts on the matter, please share.

FOR THE LOVE OFMONEY

By the O'Jays

Money money money money, money (x6)
Some people got to have it
Some people really need it
Listen to me y'all, do things, do things, do bad things with it
You wanna do things, do things, do things, good things with it
Talk about cash money, money
Talk about cash money- dollar bills, yall

For the love of money
People will steal from their mother
For the love of money
People will rob their own brother
For the love of money
People can't even walk the street
Because they never know who in the world they're gonna beat
For that lean, mean, mean green
Almighty dollar, money

For the love of money
People will lie, Lord, they will cheat
For the love of money
People don't care who they hurt or beat
For the love of money
A woman will sell her precious body
For a small piece of paper it carries a lot of weight
Call it lean, mean, mean green

Almighty dollar

I know money is the root of all evil
Do funny things to some people
Give me a nickel, brother can you spare a dime
Money can drive some people out of their minds

Got to have it, I really need it
How many things have I heard you say
Some people really need it
How many things have I heard you say
Got to have it, I really need it
How many things have I heard you say
Lay down, lay down, a woman will lay down
For the love of money
All for the love of money
Don't let, don't let, don't let money rule you
For the love of money
Money can change people sometimes
Don't let, don't let, don't let money fool you
Money can fool people sometimes
People! Don't let money, don't let money change you,
it will keep on changing, changing up your mind.
